Where we fit hair systems

We work across 36 cities in the UK, US and Australia. Every visit is a home visit — there is no studio yet in any market — so templating and fitting happen wherever is easiest for you. Pick a city to see locality-level detail, travel notes and pricing.

London's damp, mild climate is gentler on a hair system than most cities we cover, but the daily grind of a Tube commute, central heating in winter and a packed diary of client-facing work all shape what we recommend here more than the weather does.

Greater London · service every 4–8 weeks

Birmingham is Britain's second city and still very much a working one — the Jewellery Quarter's workshops, the canal-side offices around Brindleyplace and a ring of warehousing and logistics along the M6 sit alongside a genuinely inland climate that swings harder between seasons than London's ever does.

West Midlands · service every 4–8 weeks

Hair systems in Manchester

Greater Manchester

Manchester is one of the wettest major cities in England — grey skies and frequent rain are simply part of living here — and between the Northern Quarter's creative and media scene and a huge student population, it's a younger, more sociable market than most of what we cover.

Greater Manchester · service every 3–4 weeks

Hair systems in Leeds

West Yorkshire

Leeds has grown into the financial and legal capital of the north, a city of glass-fronted offices around the station and Victoria Quarter shopping built on a much older wool and manufacturing base — and its inland position in the Aire valley means real seasonal swings that a coastal city never sees.

West Yorkshire · service every 4–8 weeks

Glasgow sits on Scotland's west coast, which means it catches the wet, wind-driven weather systems rolling straight in off the Atlantic — genuinely one of the rainiest and greyest major cities in the country — while its West End university crowd and Southside family neighbourhoods each bring their own rhythm to how a system gets worn day to day.

Scotland · service every 3–4 weeks

Liverpool sits on the Mersey estuary, wide open to wind and rain blowing straight in off the Irish Sea, and it's a close-knit, sociable city where football, live music and a strong sense of local identity mean systems get worn hard and seen often.

Merseyside · service every 3–4 weeks

Hair systems in Bristol

South West England

Bristol is a hilly harbour city with a strong creative and tech sector around the Harbourside and Temple Quarter, milder and drier than the industrial north thanks to its south-western position, and a genuinely active, outdoorsy population who think nothing of cycling up from the water to Clifton.

South West England · service every 3–4 weeks

Sheffield is famously built across seven hills on the edge of the Peak District, a former steel city now as known for its green space and outdoor access as for its industrial past, with an inland climate that swings harder through the year than anywhere on the coast.

South Yorkshire · service every 4–8 weeks

Edinburgh is a compact, hilly capital split between the medieval closes of the Old Town and the Georgian grid of the New Town, exposed to a sharp coastal wind off the Firth of Forth that gives it a noticeably harsher edge than its relatively modest rainfall alone would suggest.

Scotland · service every 4–8 weeks

Newcastle sits on the Tyne close to the North Sea coast, with a cold, wind-exposed climate shaped more by its northern latitude and open coastline than by rainfall totals, and a famously sociable, close-knit culture where a night out is part of the fabric of the city.

Tyne and Wear · service every 3–4 weeks

Nottingham is a compact East Midlands city built on lace-making history and now a major logistics hub for the whole region, with a large student population from its two universities and a drier, more inland climate than anywhere on the west coast.

Nottinghamshire · service every 4–8 weeks

Cardiff is a compact capital built around a regenerated bay, with the valleys feeding commuters and rugby crowds in from the north on matchday, and a wet, mild Welsh climate that owes more to its Atlantic-facing position than anything else about the city.

Wales · service every 3–4 weeks

Hair systems in Belfast

Northern Ireland

Belfast sits on the Lagan estuary in the shadow of the Cave Hill and the old Harland and Wolff shipyard cranes, with a genuinely mild but very damp and windy maritime climate that rarely swings to a temperature extreme in either direction.

Northern Ireland · service every 3–4 weeks

New York runs hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters back to back, which means a system built for August is the wrong build for February. We plan for both rather than picking one and hoping the other is close enough.

New York · service every 3–4 weeks

Los Angeles is a dry-heat, car-dependent sprawl stretched from the coast to the foothills, and a large share of clients here spend real time outdoors — on a beach, on a set, on a golf course — under stronger UV than most other US cities see. We build and service around that sun exposure and the driving distances between one client and the next.

California · service every 4–8 weeks

Chicago's winters are genuinely brutal — sustained cold, biting wind off Lake Michigan, and heated indoor air that runs drier than most of the country — while its summers swing all the way back to hot and humid. Few US cities ask a hair system to survive that wide a seasonal swing twice a year.

Illinois · service every 4–8 weeks

Houston runs hot and humid for most of the year, with heavy rainfall and high dew points even outside the summer months — a more consistently humid climate than most of the country, which puts steady stress on adhesive hold and hair moisture nearly year-round rather than in one defined season.

Texas · service every 3–4 weeks

Phoenix is desert-dry with some of the most intense sustained heat and UV of any US city — summer highs routinely clear 110°F with almost no humidity to soften them — and that combination of heat and sun, not moisture, is what shapes how a hair system holds up here.

Arizona · service every 4–8 weeks

Philadelphia gets the full Northeast four-season swing — humid summers, cold winters — packed into a dense, walkable rowhome city where most clients live close together but heat older housing hard through winter, which dries the air indoors as much as the cold does outdoors.

Pennsylvania · service every 4–8 weeks

San Antonio runs hot for a long stretch of the year — weeks on end past 95 to 100°F — with less humidity than Houston but still enough sustained heat and sweat to matter for a bonded system, in a spread-out city with a large outdoor-active population.

Texas · service every 3–4 weeks

San Diego has one of the mildest, most stable climates in the country — a marine layer keeps summers cool and winters mild, without the seasonal extremes most other cities deal with — but that same coastal air and beach lifestyle bring their own steady, low-grade moisture and salt exposure.

California · service every 4–8 weeks

Dallas sits at the northern end of the Texas heat belt with long, intense summers across a sprawling, car-built metroplex, and the combination of sustained high heat and heavy freeway commuting is what shapes how a system holds up here.

Texas · service every 3–4 weeks

Austin runs hot and increasingly dry through summer, ringed by Hill Country that draws people outdoors to the lakes and greenbelt year-round, so sun exposure and an active outdoor lifestyle matter here as much as the heat itself.

Texas · service every 3–4 weeks

Miami is tropical — hot, humid air nearly all year with a reliable pattern of sudden afternoon thunderstorms through summer — and that persistent humidity, rather than a seasonal swing, is the single biggest factor in how long an adhesive hold lasts here.

Florida · service every 3–4 weeks

Atlanta has hot, sticky summers and one of the heaviest spring pollen seasons in the country, on top of a famously sprawling, traffic-heavy metro — all three factor into how we plan servicing here.

Georgia · service every 3–4 weeks

Boston swings between a humid summer and a genuinely cold, often stormy winter, and its Nor'easters — sudden, wind-driven coastal storms that can dump snow or freezing rain in a single day — are a sharper, more abrupt stress on a hair system than a gradual seasonal change.

Massachusetts · service every 4–8 weeks

Seattle's defining weather isn't heat or cold, it's persistent grey, damp mildness — long stretches of light rain and overcast skies through fall, winter and spring — a slow, steady dampness rather than the sharp humidity spikes other cities on this list deal with.

Washington · service every 3–4 weeks

Denver sits a mile above sea level along the Front Range, where the air is genuinely thinner and drier than almost anywhere else we cover, and the sun at that altitude is measurably more intense — both change how a hair system dries out and fades.

Colorado · service every 4–8 weeks

Hair systems in Sydney

New South Wales

Sydney's combination of harbour humidity, strong UV and an outdoor lifestyle — beach, harbour pool, weekend sport — puts more day-to-day stress on a hair system than its mild year-round temperatures suggest.

New South Wales · service every 3–4 weeks

Melbourne's reputation for four seasons in one day is not a joke to anyone maintaining a bonded hair system — the swings between a hot northerly, a cool change and a burst of rain can all happen before lunch, and a city built around trams, laneway cafés and year-round outdoor dining keeps hair exposed to whatever the sky is doing that hour.

Victoria · service every 4–8 weeks

Brisbane's subtropical climate means warmth and humidity for most of the year rather than a short summer spike, and a river city that sprawls wide rather than up means most clients are used to driving or ferrying a fair distance to get anywhere — both shape how a hair system has to be built and serviced here.

Queensland · service every 3–4 weeks

Hair systems in Perth

Western Australia

Perth is one of the sunniest and most isolated capital cities in the world, with a long dry summer along the Swan River and the Indian Ocean coast that puts more sustained, high-intensity UV on a hair system than the city's relatively low humidity might suggest.

Western Australia · service every 4–8 weeks

Adelaide runs hotter and drier through summer than most people expect from a southern capital — it regularly records some of the highest single-day temperatures of any Australian city — while its compact, parklands-ringed layout means most clients are a short, predictable drive from wherever we're covering that week.

South Australia · service every 4–8 weeks

The Gold Coast is built around its beach strip — surf, swimming and outdoor living are the default lifestyle here, not the exception — and that daily ocean and UV exposure puts more consistent stress on a hair system than almost anywhere else we cover in Australia.

Queensland · service every 3–4 weeks

Hair systems in Canberra

Australian Capital Territory

Canberra is Australia's one major inland capital, with none of the coastal humidity or salt air that shapes hair system care in Sydney or Newcastle — instead it has genuinely cold, dry winters, hot dry summers, and a planned city laid out across separate town centres rather than one dense core.

Australian Capital Territory · service every 4–8 weeks

Newcastle grew up as a coal and steel port and still carries that working-harbour character alongside a genuine surf coast — Bar Beach and Nobbys are a short walk from the CBD — which gives it a coastal climate close to Sydney's but with more direct exposure to wind and open water off the Pacific.

New South Wales · service every 3–4 weeks

Why the city you live in changes the build

These are not 36 copies of the same service area. The gap between a humid city and a drier one is large enough that we specify different bases, different adhesives and different service intervals for the same client depending on where they live.

That interval column is the single biggest driver of what a hair system costs to own. A wearer in a humid city books roughly fourteen service visits a year; a wearer in a drier city on the same system books nine. Over twelve months the difference is close to the price of a second unit.

What a home visit actually involves

Why home service is the default here

We don't have a confirmed studio open yet in any market, so every consultation, template, fitting and service visit happens at your address instead. Privacy is the upside most clients mention first — nobody wants to be seen walking into a hair studio in their own neighbourhood, and nothing on the vehicle identifies what we do.

What travels with us

A full set of base and hair samples, so you can judge how a lace front sits or how a grey blend reads in daylight rather than deciding from a photograph. Home service covers templating, fitting, re-bonding and repairs to exactly the same standard as a studio visit, and carries no travel surcharge anywhere in our coverage area.

What it costs, by city

The unit price is identical everywhere we work. What changes is the twelve-month total, and the service interval above is why.
